The city of Villach has positioned itself as a digital pioneer in Austria over the last few years and will continue to invest in digitalisation. People and their individual digital skills are key factors along this way. The better we are aware of the requirement situation, the more efficiently we can cooperate with training and education providers. On the path to digitalisation, we must not leave anyone behind. Moreover, we need to include and address all age groups as digital skills and infrastructure are also of social concern. We want to support our citizens and the economy on the road to digitalisation and thus play a pioneering role in the “digitalisation of a city” in Austria.
